Overwhelming but we are still cool :D
We are briefed to work on the (Angels and Demons) Project
It was basically about a fighting scene
Right now we are researching on the idea (epic fight scene)

My prime objective for now is to get the base which is the terrain done
I need the base to accommodate all the characters and position them right
I was given the rough idea of how the earth terrain should look like
Ghastly, volcanic ground with uneven ground surfaces
I am trying to research on height maps to create the surface which Mr Douglas show us how some of his work is done with that

Ziyaad will be working on the crowd (angels and demons clashing together)
May Tze will be working on the energy bolts (emitted from the prowess of angels & demons)
Joyces will be working on the cloud simulation (for the environment)
Yushi will be working on the explosion (the money shot)
My duty would be creating the two terrains (glass and the one like mount doom) and the white light beam casting on the angels and maybe more
And most probably the emission of light rays as well
And my mates from the previous batch have given us some valuable advice, such as
- Work everything in camera and blocking
- Refrain from loading uncommercialized hip.file into the commercialized houdini version
- Standardize the naming convention
- Create structural folders to store your files
- Create a schedule which includes the milestone, deadline and plan ahead
- Always ask when in doubt
- Test render to gauge the rough render time at night
- Always R&D alot....
