Research on creating terrain with height maps
It has been some time since i last touch houdini
And it was my first attempt on creating terrain in houdini
I came to know about using height maps from Mr Douglas
Thus i deem that it will be a good headstart to venture from there
I searched on the forum and found some way to do it
There's example file to download
and illustration to clearly depict how the VOPSOP network connection works
Eg. 1 |
Eg. 2 |
The height map was being done in VOP network
The VOP's complexity and to understand how each node functions
was a challenge for me
I sought help from bryan and jia bao
I was taught to promote parameter to increase productivity
And the real functions of the pattern nodes
Eg. voronoi noise and worley noise has more optimized functionality, such as creating 3D noise
Also clamp node to decrease the height of the displacement of the crackle
Basically i spend most of the time today to experiment nodes and test results in the VOP network
So my progress for today,
